Cold Sleeper?

Select a feather and down, microfibre or multi layer wool duvet. Feather and down and microfibre duvets retain a lot of heat, so they are ideal for winter, cold climates or if you’re a cold sleeper. Wool duvets regulate your body temperature nicely but if you’re a cold sleeper, it's best to choose one with a few layers of wool for extra warmth. Avoid cotton as it doesn’t retain heat at all, even if it feels thick it’s not going to provide you with enough warmth and will have you reaching for extra blankets.

Hot Sleeper?

Select a wool or cotton duvet. Wool is breathable and regulates your body temperature so it’s a good choice if you sleep with a partner who may get cold. Cotton retains very little heat, so it’s a great option in summer, in warm climates or if you’re a very hot sleeper. Avoid feather and down or polyester duvets, these materials retain heat by providing warm insulation, so if you’re already a hot sleeper they won't do you any favours.

Allergy Sufferer?

Choose a wool or microfibre duvet. Wool is hypo allergenic and doesn't contain any chemical substances that can irritate the airways. Our wool duvets are treated with Ultra FreshTM for protection against bacteria and are approved by the Asthma Foundation. Avoid feather and down, those prone to allergies and hay fever should steer away from feathers. Our microfibre duvet is a great solution for allergy sufferers, especially if you are looking for a light and lofty duvet.
