Thinking of faraway places? Us too.
When we first heard our Spring Passage collection was inspired by adventures afar, we couldn’t help but reminisce about our own travels. The patterned surfaces, intricate details and brilliant clashing colours which feature heavily in this range are like souvenirs of adventures gone by, providing the perfect form of escapism at a time when all we can do is daydream.
While our plans of jetting off overseas remain on hold for now, we asked our Adairs team members to share the styles that remind them of their favourite places across the globe.
“Although the colours of India were an obvious inspiration for this bed linen, it also reminds me of Vietnam. The markets in the Old Quarter of Hanoi are filled to the brim with fabrics and silk in intense colours just like these. Even if you’re not much of a shopper it’s a great place to soak up local culture.”
─ Farah, Digital Marketing Specialist.
“I can’t stop thinking about the time I got to stay in a luxurious Moroccan riad. The gorgeous textured surfaces, the palm trees and piles of cushions in quiet corners where you feel a million miles away from reality. All that’s missing is a sweet mint tea!”
─ Monique, Creative Manager.
“I have a love affair with Mexico and these ottomans are just like the ones I wanted to bring home with me – I wish I had the space! I’ll be using these woven floor cushions to make home feel like my own little sanctuary.”
─ Paula, Senior Designer.
“Capri is calling! If only. I’ll be bringing some European summer to my table with these dining pieces and glasses reminiscent of the colours you’d see along Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Give me all the sunshine and lemons!” ─ Lachsley, Marketing Assistant.Shop Tableware
“I love to collect art whenever I travel. While I haven’t been to India I’ve actually asked friends to bring back wood block stamps for me – I’m drawn to the tactility and intricacies in the process.”
─ Eloise, Mid-Weight Designer.
