Green in the bedroom

A green quilt cover is one of the easiest ways to incorporate this trend without having to execute an entire bedroom makeover. With its lived-in look and gorgeous texture, a bamboo linen quilt cover in cypress or sage will make a statement while offering a soothing sensibility. Pair it back with floral printed sheets – packed in ditsy prints or lush botanical prints ─ for a look full of personality. A pop of green can also come from a luxe throw, a tumble of linen cushions or an artificial pot plant.

Green in the bathroom

As the most soothing colour in the palette, you can’t go past green for the bathroom ─ a space that should be devoted to relaxation. Small changes ─ a new bath mat or a soap dispenser ─ can offer a breath of fresh air. Nail the laid-back vibe with a set of plush new towels in a patchwork of green prints or block colours. Try displaying your towels rolled up in a basket ─ natural materials such as wicker and rattan add to that organic, outdoorsy feel. Pop in greenery in the form of artificial plants and you’ve got the look.

Green in the living room

Experiment with statement pieces in larger areas such as the living room. An occasional chair or single lounge chair in green has the power to turn heads. Splices of colour still offer the calm and inviting effect sans the commitment. Drape a printed linen blanket or a green boucle throw over your sofa or chair. Or opt for a stack of green cushions in contrasting shades and floral prints. Whether it’s a subtle pot of succulents or a larger fiddle leaf in a wooden pot or wicker basket, filling your space with greenery will make you want to exhale and sink further into the couch.
